Big City Competition Company

For dancers looking for more intense training, Big City Dance Center offers a competitive performance team. This pre-professional company competes in local and national competitions and also performs at local community events, Piston's half-time shows, and charity fundraisers. Big City also offers a competitive program ("Stars of Tomorrow") for dancers 6-8 years of age that are looking to gain experience in the art of dance.

In twenty three seasons, the company has established itself as one of the top schools in Michigan. Our studio is complimented for our innovative cutting edge choreography and excellent technique. Big City Dance Center is ranked locally and on a national level every year. We have been named one of the top ten dance studios in the Detroit area, have placed number one in the Star Dance Alliance power rankings, won numerous FDA (Federation of Dance Association) excellence awards, have been nominated for best hip hop and jazz at the Industry Dance Awards, and took home the Junior World Champion trophy at the World Dance Championship.
